Vancouver city staff member killed after work crew accident

One person was killed after some equipment came loose at a site near Boundary Road at about 2 p.m. Saturday. The incident involved a City of Vancouver engineering work crew.
The City of Vancouver on its Twitter account reports a “critical incident” occurred.
The RCMP, WorkSafe BC and the city are all investigating.
Today at approximately 2:15 pm a critical incident occurred at the worksite of a City of Vancouver engineering streets crew.
Investigations are currently underway with RCMP, Worksafe BC and a City internal investigation.
