Sure, you can dine à la Rob Feenie any day at Cactus Club restaurants but it’s not the thrilling haute cuisine of his Lumiere days.

On Nov. 8, you can take that trip down memory lane when he teams up with another fine chef, Lee Cooper. They’ll be cooking in the eight-seat dining room at No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews, behind Cooper’s L’Abattoir restaurant. All proceeds from the dinner will go to the B.C. Hospitality Foundation.

“This is going to be a special night for a special cause,” Feenie says.

“It’s incredible to see people in hospitality come together and use their skills to give back to the industry that raised them.”

For Cooper, he receives double happiness. “It’s not everyday I get to cook with an Iron Chef,” he says.

Tickets will be sold by auction, starting 9 a.m., Sept. 30 and close Oct. 5 at 6 pm. The coveted tickets will be auctioned in pairs to the highest bidders. Go to gaolersmews.com to vie for the limited seats.

The Teahouse in Stanley Park offers a unique package — a 60-minute tour of Stanley Park in a luxury town car followed by a three-course meal. Reservations are subject to availability.

The menu is prix fixe with choices of starter, main dish and dessert. The chocolate Milano cake with chocolate mascarpone and almond wafer crust sounds quite divine. The tour and dinner costs $130 per person ($100 in a group of four). For tickets, go to  vancouverdine.com.
