Ten social enterprises win cash grants, mentorship and more at BPI Sinag Awards 2019

BPI Sinag 2019 top 10 Awardees

Ten social enterprises emerged as the winners of BPI Sinag Awards 2019, BPI Foundation’s flagship program championing Filipino social enterprises.

The top 10 awardees of BPI Sinag Year 5 are Gi Crafts Shell, Museum & Gallery, Malingkat Enterprise, Meaningful Travels Ph, Organic Growth, and Yumi’s Farm for the top six to ten and Down to Earth, Halal Organics Crops Production, Mavil’s, House of Mushrooms, Sabang Daguitan Surf Camp & Dao Balay Kawilan, and Subida for the top one to five.

After two boot camps, the top 21 finalists were tasked to present their business plans to a panel of judges which includes Maricris San Diego, Executive Director of BPI Foundation; Marvin Beduya, Senior Fellow of BAYAN Academy; Philip Felipe, Executive Director of BAYAN Academy; Rhyan Uy, Executive Vice President of EO – Executive Optical; Rico Gonzales, Managing Director of XChange; and Susan Afan, Managing Director of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya.

The top five will receive cash grants worth P500,000, while the top six to ten will receive P100,000. All will receive a six-month mentorship program by pioneering social enterprise incubator Bayan Academy for Social Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Development.

These social enterprises will also be invited to join the annual BPI Sinag ng Pasko Christmas Bazaar in early December at Glorietta, Makati City so they can present their products and services to holiday shoppers.
