Willibaldo Uy, 8990 Holdings head, passes away

THE president and chief executive officer of 8990 Holdings Inc. Willibaldo Uy passed away, the listed property firm announced on Wednesday. He was 59.
“The Company deeply mourns the passing of Mr. Willibaldo J. Uy. The Company will continue to remember and appreciate his achievements for, and contributions to, the Company,” 8990 said in a disclosure.
Other information, including the cause of his death, was not disclosed.
The firm’s current chief operating officer, Alexander Ace Sotto, will be assuming the president’s duties until a replacement is named.
