Abbotsford police investigating after man killed in collision

A man is dead following a collision early Thursday morning in Abbotsford.
Just after 6 a.m., Abbotsford police were called to Highway 11 near Clayburn Road for a collision. First responders at the scene located a man in his 50s who had suffered serious injuries.
Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and the man died at the scene. Police and collision investigators remained at the scene Thursday morning and traffic delays were expected.
No further information was available Thursday morning about the vehicle that struck the man, though Const. Mike Willford said updates were expected later in the day.
Highway 11 remained closed as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
