Mogato, Gomez highlight Times Campus Journalism Congress

Pulitzer Prize winner Manuel “Manny” Mogato and Associated Press Manila Chief Correspondent Jim Gomez are among the keynote speakers in The Manila Times Campus Journalism Congress, to be held at the Hilton Hotel in Manila on Friday, November 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Mogato will discuss on investigative journalism, while Gomez will speak on journalism standards using those practiced in the Associated Press.
In addition, The Times’ Malacañang beat reporter Catherine Valente will speak on news reporting during the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte
Other speakers during the congress include ABS-CBN reporter Raffy Santos, Ben Arnold de Vera of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Macau-based journalist Camille Bersola, Manila Bulletin photographer Albert Garcia, The Times sports reporter and columnist Eddie Alinea, and cartoonist Steven Pabalinas.
Question and answer portions will be conducted at the congress, as well as a Spot Writing Competition. Registration for the congress will be at 8 a.m.
