THERE is “sufficient” supply of relief goods and ongoing services for residents in earthquake-hit Mindanao, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Saturday.

Based on the latest report of the NDRRMC, 53, 044 families or 264, 531 persons were affected by the tremors that struck in October.

The NDRRMC said that of the total, 20,657 families were still displaced; 11,547 were housed in 68 evacuation centers; and 9,110 were living outside the centers.

“The relief services continue. There is sufficient supplies of relief items,” NDRRMC spokesman Mark Timbal told The Manila Times in a text message, more than a week after admitting that there was a “delay” in their distribution.
