Police investigating after Surrey shooting injures one

Police are investigating after a Sunday morning shooting in Surrey injured one.
Around 11:50 a.m. on Sunday, Surrey RCMP were called about shots that had been fired in the Whalley area.
Officers who arrived to the 13200-block of 104th Avenue found one man suffering from a gun shot wound. The man was taken to hospital for treatment and is expected to survive the non-life threatening injuries.
While the investigation is in the early stages, Surrey RCMP believe the incident is targeted. The area will be closed to the public for some time as police gather evidence and interview witnesses.
