2 diagnosed with ‘Black Death plague’ in China — report

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities have confirmed two people in China are being treated after they were diagnosed with pneumonic plague.

Citing information from the government website of Chaoyang District, the two diagnosed individuals were from north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, state news media Xinhua News reported.

The diagnosis was confirmed by doctors in Beijing.

The state media said the diagnosed individuals are being treated while measures are in place to control the disease.
