Several teams stranded due to foul weather

FOR the safety of athletes, officials and spectators, the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) yesterday postponed several events due to foul weather brought about by typhoon “Tisoy”.

In a statement released late Monday, some events in Subic were adjusted in anticipation of heavy rains and strong winds.

Canoe/kayak and traditional boat races were scheduled from Friday to Sunday while sailing and windsurfing races were reset tomorrow.

Modern pentathlon was also rescheduled tomorrow, butif weather cooperates, polo, surfing, muaythai and skateboarding will be held today.
