Four men have been sent to hospital with stab wounds after a messy fight in Downtown Vancouver’s Yaletown neighbourhood Sunday morning.

Vancouver police were called around 2:30 a.m. after a report of a large group of men fighting near Hamilton and Helmcken streets.

During the fight, at least four people were stabbed, said Vancouver police Const. Tania Visintin. All four were taken to hospital for treatment, including one man who was in serious condition Sunday.

Helmcken remains closed between Homer and Mainland streets, while Mainland and Hamilton streets are both closed between Nelson and Davie streets as police investigate.
