One person hospitalized following shooting in Oppenheimer Park area

One person has been hospitalized following a shooting early Thursday evening in the Oppenheimer Park area in Vancouver.
Libby Brown, a spokeswoman for B.C. Emergency Health Services, said paramedics were driving past the park for an overdose call when they heard gunfire. They immediately called dispatch, which notified police and sent other units to the park.
One of the units transported a patient in serious condition to hospital.
Police were on scene until about 8 p.m.
