Duterte stays in Davao with family

As has been his tradition, President Rodrigo Duterte will be spending Christmas with his family in his hometown, Davao City.
Palace spokesman Salvador Panelo said the President would have a “simple” holiday celebration with his children and grandchildren.
“The President, as usual, will be spending his Christmas with his family, with his grandchildren and children in his house in Davao City,” Panelo added.
“His wish for the Filipinos is to have comfortable lives,” he said.
The President has 10 grandchildren from his children with his first wife Elizabeth Zimmerman — Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and sons Paolo and Sebastian.
He also has a child named Veronica, or Kitty, with his partner Cielito “Honeylet” Avanceña.
The President is expected to visit sick children, especially those with cancer, at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City on Christmas Day.
It has been Duterte’s tradition to visit and distribute Christmas gifts to cancer-stricken children when he was still Davao City mayor.
He donates regularly to the Southern Philippine Medical Center.
