Firefighters battle blaze at Tsawwassen business

Delta police are investigating after a fire broke out at business in Tsawwassen early New Year’s Day.

Officers were called out at around 4 a.m. to assist the Delta Fire Department with a fire in the 5400-block of 12th Avenue in Tsawwassen.

Police say a business was significantly damaged in the fire. No one was injured.

Police evacuated several nearby homes as a precaution, but residents have since returned to their homes.

Firefighters continue to put out the fire and the street is closed to traffic.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
