JoyRide eyes full operation by February

New motorcycle ride-hailing firm JoyRide is set to rev up its operations for the extended motorcycle taxi pilot run as it expects to fully operate with 10,000 bikers on board its platform by February.

“We are very confident that by February, we will complete our cap of 10,000 riders as allocated by the DOTr (Department of Transportation), and the TWG (technical working group on motorcycle taxis),” JoyRide Vice President for Corporate Affairs Noli Eala said in a press briefing in Quezon City on Thursday.

Based on the data provided by JoyRide, it showed that a total of 6,907 bikers from its platform were already registered to the TWG to participate in the ongoing pilot implementation.

Out of these authorized riders, Eala said that 1,493 are already activated and now hitting the roads after going through JoyRide’s onboarding process.
