Patrick Mahomes tightropes down the sideline for score

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs took their first lead of the game at 21-17 late in the first half on Patrick Mahomes‘ 27-yard touchdown run.

Mahomes moved left on a pass play and saw a running lane. He almost stepped out of bounds at the 25. The Titans had a couple of defenders waiting inside the 5 but Tremaine Brock went for the strip instead of the tackle and neither was able to bring Mahomes down.

The play drew comparisons to Steve Young’s long playoff touchdown and a strong reaction across social media.
