REAL SCOOP: VPD investigates two murders in violent weekend

Vancouver Police are investigating two murders over the weekend – a man fatally shot in an underground parking lot in South Vancouver and a woman killed inside her Gastown apartment.
Const. Tania Visintin said in a news release that a passerby found a man inside a vehicle in the parking lot of the Cineplex near SW Marine Drive and Cambie Street just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
She said no arrests have been made, “however VPD investigators do not believe there is a risk to the public.”
The man’s identity has not yet been released.
The VPD also responded to a 911 call at 112 Water Street at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday after a 45-year-old woman was found dead inside her home.
Again no one has been arrested and police say there is no risk to the public.
