GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon (eight from left) and GMAKF EVP and COO Rikki Escudero- Catibog (ninth from right) received the P1 million check from officers of the Anvil Business Club.

GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) received a P1 million donation from Anvil Business Club Inc., an organization of young Filipino Chinese entrepreneurs, to support the foundation’s ongoing relief operations for those affected by the Taal Volcano eruption.

Present during the courtesy visit and donation turnover were GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon and GMAKF Executive Vice President and COO Rikki Escudero-Catibog together with the officers of the Anvil Business Club, headed by Chairman Wilson Lee Flores and President Hubert Henry Chua.

“It will be of great help because at the end of the month, GMA Kapuso Foundation will conduct medical missions since a lot of children there are now having upper respiratory infections. We’re going there with our volunteer doctors and will give out free medicines and vitamins just to make sure that everybody stays healthy,” expressed Escudero-Catibog.

“We believe that GMA Kapuso Foundation is the best way for us to be able to reach them, especially as the track record of the foundation is very good – really uplifting the lives of the less fortunate Filipinos,” shared Chua

GMAKF has been conducting relief operations since the volcano erupted in January 12. Its program, Operation Bayanihan, was able to help over 36,000 individuals in Batangas and Cavite.
