Vancouver Weather: Partly sunny, windy, and chilly

VANCOUVER, B.C.: Saturday, Feb. 1. It looks like Metro Vancouver may see some sunshine today to start off the new month after that deluge of rain overnight Friday. Environment and Climate Change Canada says Saturday is expected to be mainly cloudy, with wind gusts of up to 70 kilometres an hour near the water. A cooler weather system is moving in, and the temperature is expected to drop down to 4 C by Saturday afternoon. Overnight, expect a few clouds and a low of zero. Then on Sunday, there’s a good chance of showers or snow at higher elevations, with a high of 3 C and an overnight low of zero. Monday looks sunny, but that chilly weather continues, with a high of 4 C, and then Tuesday could see some more snow or rain with a high of 5 C.

Today: Cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers this morning. Clearing near noon. Wind northwest 40 km/h except gusting to 70 near the water this morning. Wind becoming west 20 late this afternoon. Temperature falling to plus 4 this afternoon. UV index 1 or low.

Tonight: A few clouds. Increasing cloudiness after midnight. Low zero.

Tomorrow: Cloudy, with a 60 per cent chance of showers, and a 60 per cent chance of wet flurries over higher terrain in the afternoon. Windy in the morning and early in the afternoon. Temperature steady near plus 3 C.
