Temperature drop continues as ‘amihan’ lingers

pagasaTemperatures continue to dip as the cool breeze from the northeast monsoon or “amihan” lingered across the country yesterday.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration  monitoring stations recorded minimum temperatures falling below 20 degrees Celsius yesterday morning.

Baguio City’s minimum temperature was 11 degrees Celsius; 16.1 degrees Celsius in Malaybalay, Bukidnon; 17.2 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; 18 degrees Celsius in Tanay, Rizal; 18.5 degrees Celsius in Itbayat, Batanes; and 19.5 degrees Celsius in Quezon City.

PAGASA said the amihan will likely bring cloudy skies with light rains over Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Masbate, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, Southern Leyte, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental
