Vancouver police searching for high-risk sex offender

Vancouver Police have issued a warning to the public about 38-year-old Kirstjon Olson, a high-risk sex offender.

Olson cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and is at large beyond a curfew, which are two of his 27 conditions of release.

Vancouver Police Sgt. Aaron Roed said in a release that Olson is Indigenous, five-feet-eight and 245 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, with a light complexion.  Olson left his residence in the Downtown Eastside, shortly after midnight Friday wearing all black clothing with a black hat carrying a back pack which had red straps.

 Anyone who sees Olson, or knows his whereabouts, is asked to call 911 immediately, or Vancouver Police detectives at 604-717-0603.
