Lawyer shot dead in Nueva Ecija

A lawyer was gunned down in Talavera, Nueva Ecija, police reported on Saturday.

Talavera Municipal Police Station (MPS), in a report, identified the victim as Bayani Dalangin, 73.

Dalangin was shot by an unidentified suspect in his office at Barangay Poblacion Sur about 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

The victim was rushed to Talavera General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival, the police said.

An investigation and hot pursuit operation against the suspect are ongoing. DARWIN PESCO
