800 quarantine sites in Luzon

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has set up more or less 800 quarantine areas in mainland Luzon for commuters and motorists who would show symptoms of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) during the conduct of checkpoints.

 

PNP spokesman Gen. Archie Gamboa said they have already identified what he calls community quarantine stations even before the community quarantine measures were expanded from Metro Manila to the entire Luzon.

“These are manned by 4,374 policemen so far and supported by forces from the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), said Gamboa.

The community quarantine stations, he said, are located in Northern Luzon, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) and Bicol Region.
