Easterlies bring cloudy skies, rain showers in PH, including Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rain showers on Wednesday due to easterlies, the state weather bureau reported.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that extreme northern Luzon will have moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to east while coastal waters will be moderate, with 1.2 to 2.5 meters of waves.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, is expecting a light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction, while the sea condition will be slight to moderate with 1.2 to 2.5 meters of waves.

Pagasa warned of possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

(We are also expecting sudden rain showers and isolated rains due to thunderstorms nationwide.)

Despite the chances of rains, the entire county will generally experience hot and humid weather, according to Aurelio.

“Ngayong araw ay mainit at maganda ang panahon sa buong bansa dahil patuloy pa din nakakaapekto ang easterlies,” he added.
