Isko Moreno ‘touched’ as Rep. PJ Garcia stands by his presidential bid

PORAC, Pampanga — Manila mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday said here that he was moved by Cebu 3rd District Rep. Pablo John Garcia’s decision to continue the support for his presidential bid.

Garcia resigned as the secretary-general of One Cebu party after it endorsed the presidential candidacy of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

“Na-touch nga ako eh,” Moreno said in an ambush interview at Porac Municipal Hall.

(I was actually touched.)

“Masaya ako na si Congressman PJ Garcia, hindi lang niya ako pinaglaban ng mahabang panahon, nag-stay pa siya sa pagtulong sa amin,” Moreno added.

(I am happy that Congressman PJ Garcia, he did not just fight for me for a long time, he even stayed and helped us.)

Moreno, meanwhile, said he respects the choice of One Cebu for endorsing Marcos Jr.

“Maraming salamat kay Gov. Gwen (Garcia) and One Cebu because maraming beses kaming naka-ikot and tinulungan naman nila kami. And I respect their choice,” he said.

(Thank you so much to Gov. Gwen Garcia and One Cebu because we toured them for many times and they helped us. And I respect their choice.)
