Non-profit group urges firms to reduce unessential plastic footprint
MANILA, Philippines — A global non-profit platform is helping companies and business owners in the Philippines reduce their unessential plastic footprint.
Plastic Credit Exchange (PCX), with its newly launched consultancy arm PCX Solutions, helps set goals and map action plans for companies to work on more sustainably conscious systems.

“We look forward to helping ensure that we are stopping the flow of plastics into nature and doing our part to build a more circular economy,” PCX Founder and Executive Chair Nanette Medved-Po said in a statement.
With a long-term goal to achieve plastic neutrality, business owners can earn plastic credits by eliminating, collecting, repurposing, and offsetting plastic wastes from its daily operations.

PCX, in its mission to help transform more institutions into restorative and innovative forces, has built an ecosystem of private companies leading in the production of packaged consumer goods, as well as global institutions like the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the International Solid Waste Association, and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
As of this writing, the platform has diverted over 3.2 million kilos of plastic waste from harmful disposal into nature, while securing over 2 million dollars of investment into the plastic waste circular economy .
