24-hour operation yields more than P500,000 ‘shabu’ in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY — Police in Central Luzon arrested nine suspected drug traders and confiscated more than P500,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during separate operations in the last 24 hours.

In a statement on Monday, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said three suspects from an alleged drug den in Subic town, Zambales province were among those arrested.

They were identified as Abbygail Cleofe, 37; Ace Narez, 30; and Michael Tolentinto, 34. The trio yielded P89,700.00 worth of shabu.

In Pampanga province, two more drug suspects were arrested. They were identified as Reynante Tuazon, 52, and Ana Marie Bitug, 38.

Police said Tuazon was tagged as a high-value target. He and Bitug were caught with 56 grams of shabu worth P380,000.

In Bulacan province, four drug suspects were nabbed in another buy-bust operation. They were identified as Gil Ciego, 33; Rania Jularbal, 23; Ian Ramos, 28; and Justine Mercado, 21.

The suspects yielded 7.03 grams of shabu valued at 49,640.

“Central Luzon police will continue to launch operations as maximized efforts are being carried out to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs, if not, stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region,” said Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, PRO3 chief. INQ
