Edsa Timog flyover-southbound to open July 23

MANILA, Philippines — The Edsa Timog Flyover-Southbound is set to open on July 23, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Wednesday.

This was stated by DPWH District Engineer Edward Santos after a press briefing with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

According to Santos, the flyover will be open to motorists at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.

Santos said they are ahead of the schedule and repairs on the flyover are mostly done.

The bridge was fully closed on June 25 and around 140,000 vehicles passing through the flyover daily were affected by the closure.

It was closed for immediate repairs after cracks were seen within the bridge.
