Drug pusher busted in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested a 58-year-old suspected drug pusher for allegedly yielding more than P60,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation here on Wednesday.

Lucena City Police chief Lt. Col. Erickson Roranes said Noel Abutin was nabbed at 6:23 a.m. after he purportedly sold P500 worth of meth to a police agent in Barangay (village) Cotta.

Subsequently, five sachets of shabu with a street value of P60,180 were also allegedly found in the possession of Abutin who is an identified pusher on the police watchlist.

The suspect has since been placed under police custody awaiting charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
