Blackpink’s Jennie, Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd to release single album for ‘The Idol’

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd, Blackpink’s Jennie and Lily-Rose Depp have collaborated on a single album for the drama series “The Idol,” which will be dropped on June 23.

The Weeknd took to his personal Twitter page on Thursday, June 22, to announce the album’s tracklist and release date.

According to the singer, “The Idol” record includes the tracks “Jealous Guy” by The Weeknd, “One of the Girls” by Depp and Jennie, and “Fill the Void” by Depp and singer-songwriter Ramsey.

Jennie was announced as one of the cast members of the HBO series in July 2022, where she takes on the role of Dyanne, a seductive backup dancer.

Meanwhile, Depp stars as the titular Jocelyn who’s determined to be known as the sexiest pop idol in the U.S. On the other hand, The Weeknd portrays Tedros, a self-help guru who’s the leader of a modern-day cult.

The drama, which gained negative attention for its controversial themes and nudity, premiered earlier this month, and was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. EDV
