‘Universe Ticket’ girl group UNIS to debut on March 27

UNIS — a girl group consisting of Filipinos Elisia Parmisano and Gehlee Dangca, as well as Filipina-Korean Jin Hyeonju — will make their debut on March 27, as confirmed by South Korean music label F&F Entertainment.

The eight-member group was formed through the Korean survival show “Universe Ticket” and will promote for two years and six months. Also part of the group are Bang Yunha (South Korea), Nana (Japan), Lim Seowon (South Korea), Oh Yoona (South Korea), and Kotoko (Japan).

In a statement via Korean media outlet Osen, F&F said the meaning of UNIS shows the “expanded narrative of the members taking the first step towards their dreams.”

FEATURED STORIES

Details about UNIS’ debut song and concept and the timetable leading up to March 27 are yet to be released.

The label, however, announced that the girl group will appear on GMA’s “Running Man Philippines” and “Girls Who Hit Goals” by Korean broadcast network SBS.

The lineup of UNIS was determined in the final episode of “Universe Ticket” in January 2024, following grueling rounds of performances and activities. Throughout its run, 82 aspiring idols raced to get into the P rank out of the letters R, I, S, and M which guaranteed a debut slot.

Parmisano was the first member to be added to the group a week before the survival show’s finale.
