Korean firm agrees to terms of Comelec auto polls contract

MANILA, Philippines — South Korean firm Miru Systems and its partners have agreed with the Commission on Elections on the terms in the service contract for the 2025 automated election system.

In an advisory, the Comelec expressed thanks to the joint venture of Miru Systems Co Ltd, Integrated Computer Systems, St. Timothy Construction Corporation and Centerpoint Solutions Technologies after a seamless contract negotiations.

“Comelec expresses its gratitude to the joint venture for having accepted the terms and conditions of the FASTrAC contract, interposing no objections to (its) line-by-line provisions and making a steadfast commitment to deliver the best election technology demanded by Comelec for all Filipinos here and abroad,” the poll body said, referring to the full automation system with transparency audit/count contract.

Comelec said that given this development, it is now set to hold the signing of the automated election system service contract on Monday at its main office in Intramuros, Manila.

Last Feb. 22, the Comelec en banc declared the joint venture as the “Single Calculated and Responsive Bid” for the P18.8-billion contract. It awarded the FASTrAC project after the group tendered a bid offer of P17,988,878,226.55 to the Comelec.
