Myrus to make music comeback with ‘My Time’ concert

After taking a break to prioritize his mental health, singer Myrus is stepping back into the spotlight with a concert to mark what he describes as a new chapter in his career.

Myrus is set to hold “Myrus: My Time” on October 9 at the Music Museum.

“Yung growth when it comes to music mas napapansin na ngayon, may purpose. Mas nakikita ko na gusto ko na maka-inspire mga tao through my songs,” he said. “I an 100 percent hands-on. From song selection, the script, and even some of the production, super pinaghandaan talaga.”

The singer shared he was diagnosed with PTSD but is doing much better now after getting the support he needs.

He added returning to music after a dark chapter has made the moment especially meaningful.

“I feel like my waiting season is over and ito na iyon. Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam na may mga taong naniniwala pa rin and sumusuporta,” he said. “Mental health is sensitive, important palibutan tayo ng mapagkatiwalaan natin… Ang dami ko trauma from bata, nagbibinata, until now. Ang daming factor ‘di mo dapat ignore. It is okay to be not okay but huwag ko deadmahin.”

Myrus also credited his faith for helping him through his difficult experience.

“Time din mas malalim faith ko kay Lord, Naniniwala ako siya din nagbalik sa ‘kin,” he reasoned. 

“There is a light at the end of every tunnel. Laban lang,” he said.
