Motorists receive flowers on Valentine’s Day

TACLOBAN City – Aside from ensuring traffic flow on Valentine’s Day, the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Unit 8 gave flowers and serenaded motorists in Tacloban City.

Dubbed as “Alay sa Puso, Alay sa Motoristang Pilipino, Kaligtasan at Siguridad sa Lansangan,” hundreds of drivers received red roses and flyers on the New Helmet Act, Anti-Criminality, Anti- Carnapping Tips, and BLOWBAGETS in San Juanico Bridge, Tacloban City New Bus Terminal and school zones in the city.

SPO1 Jennylene Patagnan, police community relations officer said the activity is their way of showing love to drivers within the city.

“We gave them flowers so that they will be happy and informed, and it will serve as their remembrance from us on Valentine’s Day,” SPO1 Patagnan said.

However, the official stressed that they will not be lax in implementing traffic rules and regulations.

She added that they have simultaneously conducted said activity in all their six provincial units.
