GCash back online after morning downtime
GCash app outage. Arthur Fuentes, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA — GCash said its app was back online after being down Tuesday morning.
In an advisory posted on 12:08 p.m. on its official Facebook page, the fintech giant said that its services have been fully restored.
“You may now use GCash as usual,” the company said.
Earlier, at 10:16 a.m., the fintech giant said the GCash app was unavailable, and that the company was working to restore the service as soon as possible.
On outage detection website downdetector.com users apparently began reporting that they were unable to log in as early as 9:23 a.m. But at around 12 noon, the number of outage reports had begun to decline.
GCash operator Mynt is set to hold its initial public offering next month. The IPO is expected to make Mynt one of the most valuable companies on the stock exchange.
