Undefeated Progella, Pagara outlast Japanese opponents to reach Asiad semis

The Alas Pilipinas beach pair of Sofiah Pagara and Khy Progella has reached the semifinals of women’s beach volleyball at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.  

This, as the duo outlasted home bets Non Matsumoto and Ren Matsumoto, 24-22, 22-20, in the quarterfinals held Wednesday at the Hekinan Ryokuchi Beach Court.

They continued their dominant run, going undefeated since the preliminaries.

The Pagara-Progella tandem is waiting for the winner of the Bernadeth Pons-Sisi Rondina and Taravadee Naraphornrapat-Kongphopsarutawadee Worapeerachayakorn matchup, which will take place in a while.
