MANILA, Philippines – On Day 32 of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial, the court will hold full-day schedule as it moves to speed up proceedings before taking a break for the 2027 national budget deliberations.

- The court will sit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays until Oct. 15, with the House prosecution expected to present witnesses on Duterte’s alleged hidden wealth, including former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, AMLC Executive Director Ronel Buenaventura and a Davao property registrar.
- The trial will then temporarily pause as Congress focuses on deliberations and debates on the 2027 national budget.
- Trillanes previously presented alleged bank records involving Duterte and members of her family that he said were not reflected in her statements of assets, liabilities and net worth.
- He previously alleged that Duterte received P22.3 million in checks supposedly linked to alleged drug lord Samuel Uy.
- AMLC Executive Director Ronel Buenaventura is expected to testify on the council’s records involving Duterte. He previously submitted documents to the House justice panel involving Duterte’s financial transactions worth P6.7 billion, including about P4.4 billion in alleged inflows.
- Davao Register of Deeds, lawyer Kathy Florence Baldonado, or her deputy, lawyer Marco Pineda, may also take the witness stand to testify on property records involving Duterte’s husband, lawyer Manases Carpio./dp
