‘Eto na. Happy?’: Remulla reimburses Isabela vice mayor for drug test

MANILA — Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla has reimbursed Reina Mercedes, Isabela Vice Mayor Harold Respicio P28,011 for the drug test he took after accepting the secretary’s challenge.

Remulla confirmed the reimbursement on Thursday by commenting on Respicio’s online post and attaching a screenshot of the proof of payment.

“Eto na. Happy?” Remulla wrote in the caption of what appeared to be a digital receipt for an online fund transfer.

Respicio replied: “You make me happy, jonvic.”

Respicio accepted Remulla’s challenge on Wednesday and underwent a drug test following the controversy over his behavior during a regular session of the municipal council.

The vice mayor later posted his negative drug test results and apologized for his outburst.

Remulla on Thursday said Isabela Governor Rodolfo Albano III was looking into the allegations raised by Respicio.

He said the matter should now be addressed through the proper processes at the provincial level.
