Han So-hee, Kang You-seok, Rain confirmed for live-action ‘Solo Leveling’
Netflix reveals additional cast members joining Byeon Woo-seok in its live-action adaptation of ‘Solo Leveling.’ Photo courtesy of NetflixNetflix unveiled Wednesday additional cast members joining South Korean heartthrob Byeon Woo-seok in the streamer’s live-action adaptation of the hit fantasy web novel “Solo Leveling.”
In a press statement, Netflix confirmed that Han So-hee and Kang You-seok, who had previously been reported to be joining the cast, are officially part of the project.
So-hee, known for series such as “The World of the Married” and “My Name,” will play Cha Hae-in, described as a high-ranking hunter and a “fierce biker who wields a longsword.”
Meanwhile, You-seok, who previously appeared in “When Life Gives You Tangerines” and “Resident Playbook,” will portray Yoo Jin-ho, a hunter from a conglomerate family who looks up to protagonist Sung Jin-woo like an older brother.
Singer-actor Jung Ji-hoon, also known by his stage name Rain, will make a special appearance as Baek Yoon-ho, a hunter who can transform into a beast and serves as the head of the White Tiger Guild.
Actor Sung Joon, who starred in “Island” and “The Fiery Priest 2,” also joins the main cast as Woo Jin-chul, an A-rank hunter and chief inspector of the Korean Hunters Association’s surveillance team.
Veteran actor Lee Sung-min, who recently appeared in the series “Teach You A Lesson,” is also set to make a special appearance as Go Gun-hee, a retired top-tier hunter and chairman of the Korean Hunters Association.
The announcement follows Netflix’s earlier reveal of the adaptation and the casting of Byeon Woo-seok as Jin-woo.
“Solo Leveling” follows Jin-woo, a once-weak monster hunter who gains access to a mysterious program that allows him to grow stronger.
Its anime adaptation has also emerged as a major success, sweeping the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards with nine wins, including the coveted Anime of the Year title.
Netflix has yet to set a premiere date for its live-action adaptation of “Solo Leveling.”
