‘naRyan nAPO Kami:’ Ryan Cayabyab, APO Hiking Society, and Mitch Valdes Gather for a Christmas Musical Reunion

This holiday season,  National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, the iconic APO Hiking Society, and beloved performer Mitch Valdes come together for “naRyan nAPO Kami,” the fourth chapter of the MaestroClass Concert Series, happening on December 4, 5, and 6 at the Proscenium Theater at Rockwell Center, Makati. Joined by the Ryan Cayabyab Singers, the special Christmas chapter brings together familiar songs, stories, and artists in a celebration that captures the warmth and spirit of a Filipino family gathering.

Unpacking a Christmas of Familiar Favorites

Like opening a balikbayan box during the holidays, naRyan nAPO Kami brings together a collection of things that feel familiar, meaningful, and worth sharing—only this time, what is being unpacked is music.

As one of the country’s most celebrated composers, arrangers, and musical directors, National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab brings his distinctive artistry to an evening filled with songs and stories that have become part of the Filipino experience.

Few artists embody that sense of familiarity quite like APO Hiking Society. Formed in 1969, the group became one of the defining names in Original Pilipino Music, with a repertoire of songs about love, friendship, and everyday Filipino life that continues to resonate across generations.

Adding her own warmth and wit to the musical gathering is Mitch Valdes, whose career has spanned singing, acting, comedy, and live performance. Known for her quick humor and engaging stage presence, she brings a lively energy to the evening.

Joining the featured artists are the Ryan Cayabyab Singers, whose polished harmonies and dynamic vocal arrangements have become a signature of Mr. C’s musical productions. Their presence adds depth and texture to the evening, complementing the diverse musical styles of the featured artists.

A New Chapter, Closer to Home

In its previous chapters, MaestroClass has welcomed audiences to intimate evenings where beloved artists shared not only their music but also the stories and moments behind it. This Christmas, that same spirit of genuine connection takes on a more familiar setting—one inspired by the warmth of coming together at home for the holidays.

With Ryan Cayabyab, APO Hiking Society, Mitch Valdes, and the Ryan Cayabyab Singers, “naRyan nAPO Kami” carries that same sense of closeness into a celebration filled with familiar favorites, shared memories, and the easy warmth of being among family and friends.

This Christmas, settle in, bring the people you love, and make yourself at home at the Proscenium Theater for an evening that feels close to the heart.

Tickets for naRyan nAPO Kami are now available directly at the Proscenium Theater website via https://prosceniumtheater.com/ and at the Power Plant Mall Cinema.
