PRX came out swinging on the opening map, Split, racing to a dominant 8-4 lead by halftime. However, LOUD completely turned the tables on defense, restricting PRX to a single round in the second half to pull off a 13-9 comeback.
Determined to equalize, PRX carried that aggressive momentum into Sunset, mounting an impressive 9-3 halftime buffer. But LOUD once again staged a fierce second-half comeback with a nine-round defensive run.
Despite PRX forcing a thrilling, neck-and-neck overtime, LOUD held their composure to close out the map 15-13 and sweep the series.
Ilya “something” Petrov led the charge for PRX across the series, racking up 36 kills and 6 assists on Yoru and Chamber. Meanwhile, Pinoy fragger Adrian “invy” Reyes turned in a standout performance on Sunset, anchoring the team on Fade with 21 kills and 12 assists.
Paper Rex will look to keep their tournament dreams alive when they return on October 9 at 8:00 p.m. Manila Time for a high-stakes, do-or-die elimination match against South Korea’s T1.
