Olivia Rodrigo hopes to attend college someday: ‘I’d love to go back to school’
While she’s already had massive success as a pop star, Olivia Rodrigo still hopes to pursue a college education someday.
“I’d love to go back to school. I feel like that’s kind of a misconception that people have, that you have to go when you’re like 19 years old. But I would love to go and learn in more of a classroom setting,” she said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
The singer added that she would love to experience attending lectures.
“I’d love to sit in a lecture. That’d be really fun. It’s the most basic stuff, but I never had it,” she stated.
However, Olivia has yet to decide whether she would pursue a traditional college degree or simply enroll in a few courses.
Reflecting on how her life might have turned out had she not found success in music, the singer revealed that she could have attended college.
“It’s funny to think about, though, too, because had I not made ‘Drivers License’ and my career didn’t go the way that it would have, I honestly feel like I would have gone to college and done some sort of nonprofit work,” she said.
Olivia kicked off her The Unraveled Tour in September.
The Filipino-American singer took to Instagram to share a series of photos from the opening night, offering fans a glimpse of the stage design, her concert outfit, and a behind-the-scenes moment.
Olivia revealed that she had spent a year envisioning how the concert would come together.
“Been planning this show out in my head for the last year and seeing it all come together was a dream come true,” she said.
The Grammy-winning artist also expressed her gratitude to the fans who attended the opening night and the creative team who helped turn her vision into reality.
Prior to the tour, Olivia launched the all-women music festival Daisy Chain Fields in Irvine, California, in August.
