How upcoming series ‘Mommy Guard’ paid tribute to Ronaldo Valdez
The upcoming series “Mommy Guard” pays tribute to the late Ronaldo Valdez by incorporating his photos into the narrative as the father of Marvin Agustin’s character, a nod to their memorable on-screen pairing.
“Naalala ng panahon si Marvin Agustin, ang tatay niya ay si Ronaldo at Gina Pareño ang nanay. So ganon ang narrative. So what if siya founder at kasama niya si Soliman Cruz. Ganoon kwento sa narrative namin,” “Mommy Guard” Roman Perez Jr. shared during the series’ media conference held in Mandaluyong City. “Yun kwinento namin narrative, mga nakapanuod noon, nanay na ngayon. Yun alaala nila yung tatay ni Marvin Agustin si Ronaldo na nagbasag ng gitara! Ibabalik natin alaala.”
According to Perez, the family was moved by their pitch.
“Pinaalam sa family ng maayos. Sobrang grateful sila na naalala si Tito Ron,” he explained.
Valdez’s wife is played by Susan Africa, whose backstory is also worth looking forward to.
“Mommy Guard” starring Agustin and Jolina Magdangal will begin airing on October 19. Among the platforms the series will be available on Kapamilya Channel and iWant.
