Joshua Zamora weighs in on rumored rift between Jopay Paguia and Rochelle Pangilinan

Joshua Zamora has shared his perspective on misunderstandings within groups following reports of a rift between his wife, Jopay Paguia, and fellow SexBomb Girls member Rochelle Pangilinan.

In an interview with PEP, Joshua described Jopay as someone who values good working relationships and prefers to address problems through open conversations.

While he did not discuss the details of the reported issue involving the SexBomb Girls, Joshua offered insight into how his wife handles disagreements.

“With my wife very relational kasi siya. When she works, committed siya sa trabaho niya, gusto niya maganda yung samahan. Pagka mayroong di pagkakaunawaan, gusto niya napag-uusapan talaga,” he said. “Very confrontational siya, she confronts kahit na sino ka.”

Joshua also acknowledged that misunderstandings could happen even between people who know each other well.

Drawing from their own marriage, he explained: “Kahit naman kami mag-asawa kami, asawa ko na siya mismo, minsan nami-misinterpret ko pa rin siya. Pero I look at it sa kung ano ang strength niya. Minsan yun ang weakness ko, e. Nawo-work namin together yan, nagpo-produce ng positivity. Para sa amin, it helps.”

As a member of dance group Manuevers, Joshua said he understands that disagreements are not uncommon among people who work together as part of a group.

“As a group naman, di naman talaga nawawala yan—tampuhan,” he maintained. “Di natin maiiwasan na may kanya-kanya tayong perspective sa buhay, may kanya-kanya tayong personalities, kung paano tayo mag-lead so talagang di maiiwasan yan.”

He added that they also experience their own challenges, but the members keep internal matters private to protect their relationships and families.

He also recognized the increased attention surrounding the SexBomb Girls, particularly the strong public interest following their recent reunion. With more eyes on the group, he said, even their social media activity may be interpreted in different ways.

“Siguro with the SexBomb, since they are really talaga exposed to kung ano ang ginagawa nila ngayon, I may say na bawat kilos nila, bawat pose nila on socmed ay talagang nami-misinterpret ng tao.”

He continued: “Yun ang nakaka-sad kasi ang daming negativity, ang daming bashers. And for me, lagi rin naming sinasabi before ni Ate Joy, whether it’s positive or negative, it’s exposure. But sabi nga nila, kailangan pa rin naming protektahan yung ating reputation sa tao.”

Despite the attention surrounding the reported disagreement, Joshua maintained that the SexBomb Girls themselves are in the best position to address and resolve any issues within their group.

“Feeling ko diyan, may happiness, may sadness, mixed emotions,” he expressed. “And the only person na puwedeng mag-ayos niyan ay sila-sila rin.”

The reports of rift between Rochelle and Jopay surfaced in September. Speculation also grew after Jopay, and fellow members Sunshine Garcia and Evette Pabalan, were absent from the music video for the group’s latest single, “Mama Mama.”

Rochelle, for her part, addressed questions about disagreements within the group during an interview with Boy Abunda.

“Hindi ko naman talaga ikakaila sa isang pamilya, sa mga magkakaibigan, nagkakaroon talaga ‘yan ng hindi pagkakaunawaan. Like, naka-depende pa rin ‘yan kung paano maging maayos,” she said. “Case-to-case basis. Kung gustong maging maayos ng isa, magiging maayos talaga, e. Kasi lagi kong sinasabi sa kanya… sa kanila, sa lahat. General po ako lagi.”

She also highlighted the importance of having a shared direction if a group intends to continue working together, comparing the members to people rowing the same boat.

“Kumbaga sa isang boat, kailangan isa lang tayo ng sagwan, kasi hindi puwedeng hindi kayo makikinig sa akin, tapos may gusto kayong iba,” Rochelle said. “Mahihirapan tayo doon, hindi natin alam kung saan tayo pupunta.”

Rochelle further stressed that the group’s members should be mindful of the legacy they have built together.

“Hindi na maganda para sa edad natin, so kailangan lang, isa lang tayo ng goal,” she said. “Kung ayaw mo na, we’re good. Just say it.”

Jopay, meanwhile, has chosen not to elaborate on the reported disagreement.

“No comment on that. Let’s just let Rochelle do the talking. Basta kung saan siya masaya, support tayo,” Jopay said in a statement shared by DJ Jhai Ho.

While the statements from Joshua, Rochelle, and Jopay offer their respective perspectives on group dynamics and the importance of working through disagreements, the specific circumstances behind the reported rift have yet to be fully clarified publicly by those involved.
