‘Lumpia Queen’ Abi Marquez reflects on content creation journey after The EdukCircle Awards win
Social media personality Abi Marquez, popularly known as the Lumpia Queen, marked a full-circle moment as she returned to her alma mater, the University of the Philippines, to receive recognition at this year’s The EdukCircle Awards.
In a social media post, Abi looked back on how she started creating online content while she was still a college student, recalling the uncertainty she faced as she approached graduation.
“Back in my uni today and cherishing this full-circle moment 🌻 I started making content just before graduating college. For various reasons, none of the internships I applied for pushed through, and at one point, I was even at risk of not graduating on time,” Abi wrote.
She went on: “But somehow, the stars aligned. I started making content just for fun, eventually found myself working with brands, and ended up writing case studies on content creation as my final requirement to graduate 🥹”
Over time, Abi found a way to connect her passion for content creation with her desire to serve others, drawing inspiration from her university’s mission.
“Somewhere along the way, I found my own way to Serve the People: by building a platform where I could share my love for Filipino food and the stories I grew up with. Not only to encourage the younger generation to keep cooking our food, but also to bring our cuisine, culture, and stories to a global audience,” she expressed.
Returning to her university brought a lot of memories and realization to the content creator especially as she received The Most Influential Social Media Personalities of the Year award.
“4 years later, I’m back in the very same place where I once shifted my sablay from left to right, this time to be one of the recipients of The Most Influential Social Media Personalities of the Year award from @edukcircle 🌻❤️”

“I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped in this purpose and a mission. To Team Abi, and that includes YOU reading this, thank you for being part of it. 💖,” she expressed.
Beyond the recognition, the content creator also shared a message for the students she had the opportunity to speak to during the event, hoping to remind them that influence goes beyond numbers and popularity.
“And thank you to @edukcircle for this recognition and for giving me the opportunity to speak to students from all over the Philippines today. I hope that, in my own little way, I was able to remind them that influence isn’t just about how many people you reach, but the impact you leave on them. And that whatever goals we pursue, may they always be bigger than ourselves but also PARA SA BAYAN!!! 🇵🇭🌻,” she said.
Abi was among the celebrities and personalities recognized by the academic organization this year. Kapuso actress and Remember star Marian Rivera was also named Most Influential Celebrity for 2026.
