Eye contact or ‘dedma’? “Sparks Camp” Season 4 campers reveal their ‘crush’ moves
No matter how old you are or how many crushes you’ve survived, figuring out what to do once you actually like someone can still make you feel like you’re back in high school. You want them to get the hint (sometimes) but you also don’t want to feel like you’ve hung a giant “I LIKE YOU” banner over your head.
Considering “Sparks Camp” Season 4 is a space where attraction, connection, and honest feelings come up, we thought the campers might have a few tricks of their own. So we asked Tommy, Ian, EJ, Jury, Beej, Michael, Gio, Howie and Joaquin to reveal their signature moves when they have a crush on someone.
If slow-burn flirting had a choreography, Tommy might have mastered it. His move is to look down first, slowly raise his eyes, then finish with a wink.
And if you’re thinking about the fastest way to turn a normal moment into a ‘delulu’ scene you’ll replay in your head for the next 24 hours, try Joaquin’s go-to move, which is eye contact. From Joaquin’s lingering gazes, we move straight into even more dangerous territory with EJ’s puppy eyes. Jury also lets his peepers do the talking; just a little ‘tingin-tingin’ here and there.
Meanwhile, Ian flirts like they is sending a meme IRL with one playful “rawr” gesture.
Beej gives ‘shampoo commercial’ energy. Think slight side profile and a casual hair fix like there’s a wind machine nearby. As for Howie, his crush philosophy is “less is more;” just flash a nice smile and let the charm do the work.
Some people flirt with words, but Gio goes straight for physical closeness, with his signature move being the classic ‘akbay.’ And then others become way too nonchalant around their crush, just like Michael, who goes ‘tameme’ and keeps the ‘dedma’ act going to keep the situation low-key.
Which camper are you most like when you have a crush, Kapamilya?
“Sparks Camp” Season 4 is directed by Theodore Boborol and hosted by Mela Habijan.
