Metro Beauty Insider: Drag Queen Trio Divine Divas Share Their Best Makeup Secrets
Few have woven their names into the tapestry of the Philippine drag scene quite like the queens of the Divine Divas. Brigiding, Precious Paula Nicole, and Viñas Deluxe are a formidable force as a trio, but their individual careers are just as remarkable, with each queen at the height of their own success. With local and international Drag Race wins under their belts, flourishing music careers, beloved talk shows on the internet, a starring role in a much-anticipated musical, a business venture they co-own together (Rampa), and highly respected as powerhouse drag performers and house mothers, they are iconic names you simply can’t leave out when talking about the greats in the industry today.
The Divine DivasEven though Brigiding, PPN, and Viñas may have the same passion for their chosen art, evidently, there is no single formula to being a successful drag queen. One look at even just their glam and you’ll see that they have different styles of drag.
Metro wanted to dig deeper into the creative process behind their larger-than-life personas— but this time, through each other’s eyes. In a three-way conversation, the Divine Divas offered their own perspectives on one another, revealing the artistry behind the process and the person behind the glamour. We learned what beauty tips they’ve learned from each other over the years, how they went from nothing together to having everything together, and what each one can’t live without. Plus, we get a peek at the actual products they use!
Brigiding: We have very different and distinct styles. But we always complement each other. We have been working together for a very long time, and most of our techniques are either inspired by each other or we learned together along the way. Precious’ makeup is very bold and strong, while Viñas is more on the softer side.
Viñas: Precious is a very versatile drag queen. She can do beauty, camp, and fierce. She’s also an amazing impersonator. Brigiding’s style is very classic, timeless, and unapologetically drag. She’s always glamorous.
PPN: For Brigiding, I’d say her style is bold and timeless. She has this old-school Hollywood glam and elegance even before pa. Kay Viñas naman, ethereal and mesmerizing. Meron kasi siyang touch of campiness and theatricality while at the same time high fashion din.

Brigiding: I always get the best trends from Viñas as she’s more trendy and she loves to explore new and updated techniques, while I get the best new products from Precious as she loves to spend on designer and high end make up.
Viñas: Your makeup should always have depth. Your dark liners need to be dark enough to stand out under the bright stage lights. You also need the right balance of highlights and lowlights so your face doesn’t look flat on stage.
Precious: Finding the correct products for your skin tone and using the best primer makes all the difference. Tsaka syempre, ‘yung getting enough rest and sleep talaga para maayos kapit ng make-up.

Brigiding: I like it when Viñas does her young and soft makeup, with natural brows and subtle eye details. I love it when Precious does makeup transformations. They’re both extremely good at makeup transformations.
Viñas: My favorite is our rainbow ensemble. Even though we’re all wearing rainbow, you could still clearly see each of our personalities and individual styles. That’s what makes it so special.
PPN: For Brigiding, her Estatwa look. Tapos ‘yung kay Misis, ‘yung Nuno sa Feng Shui look niya. Both are unforgettable looks from their runways sa Slaysian Royale.

Brigiding: I think because we started as best friends, we know each other from the ground up, from having nothing to actually having everything that we have today.
Viñas: I think it’s because we really respect each other. We know each other’s strengths, we trust one another, and we always make space for everyone’s ideas.
PPN: I believe it’s because we genuinely love each other. Magkakaibigan talaga kami— actually, family na. And just like any other family, of course, we’ve had our share of fights and misunderstandings over the years. Pero iba kasi ‘yung pinanghahawakan namin. At the end of the day, nangingibabaw ‘yung pagmamahal sa isa’t isa. We also continuously inspire and challenge each other. Marami kaming mga pangarap na natupad na magkakasama, and we’ll have more dreams to achieve in the future! Eto na talaga ‘to. Tatlo hanggang dulo.

Brigiding: I’ll take Viñas’ creativity and Precious’ fearlessness!
Viñas: They both love putting together big production numbers. I really admire that, and it’s something I want to embrace more in the future.
PPN: Kay Brigiding, her business-mindedness. Kay Viñas naman, her bravery. Parang may similarity ‘yung both qualities na ‘yun in a sense na hindi takot to take risks and go outside your comfort zone to try and explore new things.
Brigiding: One, never stop learning because you owe it to your children and to the next generation of drag performers. Two, don’t be afraid to take risks, and always lead with love and acceptance. Being a drag mother isn’t easy— it’s a chosen family. The real meaning of that choice isn’t just being there during the wins, but continuing to choose each other even through the hardest moments. That’s where the essence of being a family truly lies. And three, most importantly, don’t raise them to be versions of you. Raise them to be better than you. That’s the greatest legacy a drag mother can leave.
Viñas: Just love your drag kids without expectations because expectations can sometimes lead to disappointment. They have their own journey and their own path. Your job is to guide them, not decide where they’re supposed to go.
PPN: My advice is that they should train the next generation not only to be good performers, but to be good people first. Maging mabuting tao. Maging makatao. Iba pa rin talaga ‘yung may puso. Mas magiging mas maayos sila katrabaho, professional, mas mag-sisipag if they put their heart in whatever they do; everything else will follow.
