PH creators vie for honors at inaugural TikTok Awards Southeast Asia
MANILA — Filipino content creators are among the nominees for the inaugural TikTok Awards Southeast Asia, with voting running from October 12 to 26.
TikTok announced Monday that the regional awards will recognize established and emerging creators whose content has made an impact on communities across Southeast Asia.
The Philippine nominees are competing in 11 categories, including Creator of the Year, Rising Creator of the Year, Education Creator of the Year, Food Creator of the Year and Entertainment Creator of the Year.
The awards, which carry the theme “The Ones Who Spark It,” will have multiple phases. During the first phase, TikTok users across Southeast Asia can vote for nominees in their respective countries. The top-voted creator in each category will advance as a country representative and compete for a regional award.
“On TikTok, trends don’t just happen; they spark meaningful conversations, cultural phenomena, and real-world impact extending far beyond the screen,” said Angga Anugrah Putra, TikTok’s general manager of content operations for Southeast Asia.
He said the nominees have used their creativity to build communities, create livelihoods and develop businesses.
“Through the TikTok Awards Southeast Asia, we aim to give Filipino creators a regional stage where they can continue to inspire authenticity, bring joy, and spark positive impact,” he added.

To vote, users must log in to TikTok and search for #TikTokAwardsSEA using the app’s search bar, or access the awards microsite through the link provided by TikTok. They can then tap the “Vote” button for their preferred nominees.
Each user receives at least 15 votes daily, which can be distributed across categories. Multiple votes for the same nominee or category are allowed.
Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. on October 26.
TikTok will announce the country representatives on November 5 in Manila, while the Southeast Asian winners will be revealed on November 27 in Bali, Indonesia.
