Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto fill ‘The Greatest Showdown’ teaser, poster with hilarious antics
It’s a showdown for the ages! Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto gear up for a rumble like no other in the official teaser and poster of “The Greatest Showdown“, unveiled alongside the final four entries of the 52nd Metro Manila Film Festival on Monday, October 12.
Directed by Jun Robles Lana, the film is a co-production between Star Cinema, The IdeaFirst Company, and APT Entertainment.
The teaser gives audiences a taste of the comedic chemistry between two entertainment icons, while introducing the supporting cast ready to join in on the chaos. On Team Vice are Ruby Ruiz, Iyah Mina, Fyang Smith, and Brent Manalo, while Team Vic brings together Jose Manalo, Klarisse De Guzman, JM Ibarra, and Ryzza Mae Dizon.
The showdown may have only just begun, but the teaser and poster are already serving up plenty of laughs through the characters’ ridiculous antics, witty comebacks, and petty rivalry.
Let’s break down some of the funniest moments that have us looking forward to more!
True to its title, “The Greatest Showdown” puts a feud at the heart of the story, and the teaser wastes no time showing just how far Vice and Vic are willing to go to get at each other.
In one scene, Vic rigs the bathroom doorknob to electrocute Vice, leaving her hilariously writhing in pain after touching it. When Fyang and Brent rush to help their Meme Vice, they end up getting caught in the electric mayhem themselves.
Talk about a shocking prank!

With Vice and Vic at the center of the showdown, the verbal sparring is just as entertaining as the physical comedy. Every exchange comes with a punchline, delivered with the impeccable timing fans have come to expect from the two comedy veterans.
At one point, Vice taunts Vic by asking, “Ano nga ulit address mo? Sa impyerno, ano?”
Vic is quick to fire back with, “Kapitbahay nga tayo, e!”
Even their insults come with a dose of humor, proving that neither one is about to let the other have the last laugh.

One of the teaser’s most absurd moments features Vice angrily slamming something as she lets her frustrations out. But the camera pulls back to reveal the unsuspecting victim of her outburst: her own mother, played by Ruby, who ends up with a bloodied head.
It’s the kind of ridiculous situation that makes the film’s family dynamics all the more entertaining, giving audiences a glimpse of the chaotic relationship between the two.

Even a battle cry becomes a source of comedy in “The Greatest Showdown”!
As Vice, Vic, and the members of their respective camps shout “Matira matibay!”, their attempts to deliver the line in unison quickly turn into another argument.
In a split-screen moment, Vice complains, “Sabay-sabay kasi ’yon!” while Vic insists, “Sabay-sabay naman!”
The exchange adds a playful touch of meta humor, as if the two are already aware that even their attempts to work together are bound to end in a disagreement.

Who knew a game of “Bato, Bato, Pick” could look this intense?
The film’s official poster features Vice and Vic facing off in what appears to be a heated round of “Rock, Paper, Scissors”, with the two flashing scissors. Behind them, bursts of sparks, along with fiery shades of red and orange, suggest an explosive rivalry, but their facial expressions tell a much pettier story.
Vice sticks out her tongue in a cheeky taunt, while Vic pulls a face of his own. The result is a visual that captures the film’s central appeal: a larger-than-life showdown fueled by two personalities who refuse to back down, even over the simplest things.

Expect even more laughs as this rivalry unfolds! Catch Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto in “The Greatest Showdown”, directed by Jun Robles Lana, opening exclusively in cinemas on December 25 as part of the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival.
