The band’s label, Sony Music Entertainment Philippines, submitted the entry for consideration under the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.
In a statement, the band said winning a Grammy Award, presented by the Recording Academy of the United States to recognize excellence in music, has always been one of their dreams.
The musical ensemble behind hits such as “Maybe The Night” and “Lifetime” said they were thankful to be given the chance to take the first step toward their dream through the submission of “Leaves (Reimagined)” for consideration of the Grammy organization’s voting members.
The first round of voting runs from October 12 to 22 to determine the nominees across 100 categories.
The official list of nominees will be announced on November 16, ahead of the Grammy Awards ceremony on February 7, 2027.
Released in August, the song is a “reimagined” version of the 2017 song “Leaves,” offering a “more mature” reflection on the track’s themes of healing and forgiveness.
“Someone very close to me in the past hurt me in a very unexpected way, and I was faced with the choice to forgive or part ways. I chose to forgive,” frontman Paolo Benjamin said of the song.
“This song will always hold deep meaning for me. It has been God’s way of saving me from my darkest thoughts countless times in the past, until now,” he added.
Ben&Ben recently celebrated its ninth anniversary with the release of the anthology album “Nine,” as well as its sold-out “Saranggola: The Concert” at the Araneta Coliseum.
Star Music also recently announced that BINI, hailed as the “Nation’s Girl Group,” submitted three entries for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards.
